At Safety Kept Simple we start by gaining an understanding of your business and the work that you undertake, along with your people.
From here we can start to establish a framework which includes a living and breathing health and safety policy. This includes:

  • Effective risk management; identifying the risks your business could potentially create and your workers could be exposed to. Agreeing how to best control these risks effectively and practically.
  • Establish training and competency requirements.
  • Depending on your line of work, we would then establish what other requirements would assist your organisation. This could include policies, procedures, safe operating procedures (SOP), risk assessment tools (job safety analysis, take 5).

However, throughout this process the aim is always to keep health and safety simple, yet effective. Your health and safety management system must add value to the safety of work, not become a lengthy document collecting dust on a shelf.

I want to work with you to embed an effective yet simple safety approach into your business. From my experience, keeping it simple while engaging with the experts - those doing the work - to understanding the risks they are exposed to and how best to manage these risks, is key to high-performing safety within any organisation. This is the approach I take
